The
Knights of Columbus - The
Knights of Columbus is a Catholic family fraternal service
organization, which was founded by Father Michael McGivney
in 1882. In 1900 the first council in Ontario was formed in
Ottawa. There are only two requirements for a man to join
the Knights of Columbus: that he be a practicing Catholic
and that he be 18 years of age or older.
Catholic
Women's League - The C.W.L. needs you. We do
much more than host bake sales! At present, we provide school
bursaries, support a refugee family, donate to Birthright,
Prolife, Canadian Catholic Missions, a Third World Women’s
Group, a mission for orphans and widows in the Congo and,
of course, St. Joseph’s Church. We truly need new members
and welcome new ideas.
Legion
of Mary - Are you familiar with the Legion of
Mary ? We meet every Tuesday morning at 9:30 AM immediately
following the Mass. The meeting is devoted to the Blessed
Virgin Mary, as we ask her guidance in our daily work. We
visit the sick and shut-ins, assist in Church work, when and
where we are needed. Could you devote one hour per week to
Our Blessed Lady ? If so, you may be interested in joining
the Legion of Mary. You would be most welcome.
St
Joseph's Pro-Life
- St Joseph's Catholic
Church has a number of very active Pro-Life supporters. Fund-raising
is ongoing throughout the year. Many members participate in
a number of marches and silent protests throughout the year.
